THE LEMON LODGE

It was the dream of a group of friends to start a farmstead with lodging. Driven by permaculture principles and a passion for living a sustainable lifestyle where nature sets the pace, they envisioned The Lemon Lodge.

THE HANDS

The joint hands of William & Michelle and Alex & Helena, continuously work together to make The Lemon Lodge an eco-friendly farmstead that lives and breathes an enhancing way of life to inspire one-selves and others.

THE PURPOSE

At The Lemon Lodge we aspire to create a get away that reflects a true sense of living with- and respecting nature. We strive for a simple life, to take only what you need and appreciate the small things like picking a lemon from a tree.

DYNAMIC

Living organically for us is a way of life that applies in all areas. The aim is to generate a yield in the food gardens by taking care of our plants and trees through a holistic approach. We do so in accordance with the moon and constellations. Feel free to roam around as it’s intended for all of us to enjoy.

OFF-GRID

The Lemon Lodge is off-grid; we are powered by solar energy and the water is pumped from our own wells. The local trees allow us to heat the fireplace & wood oven for homemade pizza’s whilst the food gardens can supply organic ingredients, elaborating on the off-grid eco friendly vision.

AROUND

The Lemon Lodge is closely located to many breath-taking beaches with rugged cliff formations, clear blue waters, renowned surf spots and famous historical hike routes. Keep a close watch at the journal to discover hidden gems and activities for long lasting memories.

RUSTIC ACCOMMODATION

All aspects of the farmstead are rural, simple and unsophisticated. The restored Algarvian Taipa farmhouse is split into two unique lodgings. Surrounded by pine trees both suites have a spectacular view of the valley and the food gardens.
